Rosindo Alberto Tiritilli was smuggled out of Italy from his hometown of Scontrone when the Germans had established the Gustav line there and sent to live in Chicago.

At the age of 18, he joined the United States Marine Corps and fought in the Pacific. He was in the Bataan Death March and was held for three years as a prisoner. Years later, after being released from the Veteran’s hospital, recovering from a back injury sustained while working in the mines during his internment, he needed to find a way to support his growing family.

Rosindo began making Italian sausage at the kitchen table which quickly catapulted him into a thriving business. In honor of his dedication to making something from nothing, to enduring through most adverse circumstances and persevering when all seems lost, this shirt is special as it represents his prosperity.

The church bells ring, it's six o'clock in the morning and the small town begins to wake up. You stand at the window and watch the sun creep over the distant hills.

Pink hazy light fills the horizon; within minutes, patches of green come to life in the valley below. The piazza fills with people greeting each other as they head off to work or school.
